Twin sisters give birth to baby girls on same day

FRESNO, Calif. (WTHR) — A pair of identical twins in California proved they truly are inseparable after giving birth to two baby girls on the same day.

The Yang sisters delivered their babies just an hour apart at a hospital in Fresno Sunday. They found out they were pregnant at the same time and later learned their due dates were just two days apart!

The 23-year-old sisters say it's a dream come true to have daughters together and they're happy their girls share the same birthday, just like their mothers.

"I knew that I was going to be in labor, and then I told her, and she was like 'I'm having pain here and there, too. I might in there with you, too'," said Bao Kou Julie Yang.

Both newborns weighed in at just about seven pounds. Nurse-midwife Laura Schleicher said the occurrence was completely natural.

"Really all I did was deliver them. I didn't facilitate it or make it happen in any way. They just had great timing - very unique timing," she said.
