INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTHR) — The man accused of attacking the owner of 'Acapulco Joe's' in downtown Indianapolis is expected to take a plea deal next week.

Maurice Dunlap is accused of attacking Grant Redmond back in March.

Police say it happened after Dunlap tried to dine and dash during a date.

Redmond suffered brain and head injuries while trying to stop him.

Dunlap was supposed to go to on trial Monday.

However, he's expected to plead guilty to robbery and battery charges next Wednesday.
