Freeform releases '25 Days of Christmas' schedule

(WTHR) — If this weather isn't getting you into the winter spirit, maybe this announcement from Freeform will.

The TV channel released its schedule for its annual 25 Days of Christmas movie marathon.

Christmas classics like "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "The Santa Clause" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas" will all be showing.

But other favorites that don't typically fall into the holiday category will also air. The "Toy Story" series, "The Incredibles" and "The Lion King" will all play. The marathon begins Dec. 1.

If the list looks a little thin this year, it may be because of a business move from AMC. Vulture reported in September AMC purchased the rights to a number of Christmas classics in preparation for its new "Best Christmas Ever" marathon.

The month-long event will feature classics including "Elf," "The Polar Express" and "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." AMC's "Best Christmas Ever" will begin Nov. 26.
